CU vs. Bank
Q: What makes a
credit union different than a bank?
A: The biggest
difference is that credit unions are not-for-profit organizations
and our Board of Directors are unpaid volunteers. This means that you’ll
typically find better rates on your deposits and enjoy lower rates on loans. Another
difference is that you have a voice in the credit union. As a member, you
get a vote at our annual meeting equal in weight to every other StarTrust member.
